JACKSONVILLE, Fla., February 2, 2026 – JWB Real Estate Companies, celebrating 20 years in 2026, announces it has relocated the company’s headquarters to Downtown Jacksonville. JWB has completed the renovation and restoration of the office floors of the historic Greenleaf Building and JWB’s 120 employees will work from The Greenleaf as of February 2. JWB was most recently located in Baymeadows.
The Greenleaf is recognized as a local historic landmark and part of Jacksonville’s architectural heritage and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the corner of Laura and Adams Streets, The Greenleaf redevelopment is poised to be a catalyst for Downtown economic growth and enhanced urban appeal. The Greenleaf’s Jacob’s Jeweler’s Clock was deeded to the city for historic preservation. In 2025, JWB and Jax Tours spearheaded the restoration of its chime and clock mechanism, both of which were nonworking for many years.
“The Greenleaf restoration and our move to Downtown underscores JWB’s commitment to long-term investment in Downtown Jacksonville along with its preservation and adaptive reuse,” said Alex Sifakis, president of JWB Real Estate Companies. “We are proud to be a part of bringing activity and vibrancy to the Laura Street corridor.”
The Greenleaf (originally The Greenleaf & Crosby) is an early 20th-century commercial building at 200 N. Laura Street. It was built in 1926 and designed by noted local architects Marsh & Saxelbye following the Great Fire of 1901. Originally constructed for the Greenleaf & Crosby jewelry company, it later became the longtime home of Jacobs Jewelers until it closed in 2023. A classic example of Chicago School and early commercial architecture, the building retains historic façades and interior features that showcase early 20th-century design and craftsmanship.
The reuse features office space, including the relocation of JWB’s headquarters on multiple floors, along with a location of Regus (cowork space) and the headquarters of TruTechnology. Ground-floor dining and retail includes the Oak Steakhouse (currently under construction), the recently opened HiReformance Institute (Downtown’s first Pilates studio), and a future basement speakeasy and bar.
JWB purchased The Greenleaf in June 2022. The building is 12 stories and approximately 66,000 square feet. Construction, renovation and restoration started in early 2024. The Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) approved a $4.79 million forgivable loan for The Greenleaf with an original projected cost of $9.5 million and a total final cost of $17 million. Avant Construction of Jacksonville completed most of the renovations of The Greenleaf.
JWB is the founder and manager of the $2 billion Gateway Jax Pearl Street redevelopment project and also completed the restoration, revitalization and reuse of the Federal Reserve Building, a $6.5 million project, 218 Church Street, a $9.5 million project, The Porter House mansion, a $1 million project and the $600,000 renovation of Sweet Pete’s Candy at the JWB-owned Downtown Seminole building.
